Winneshiek County Celebration of Life receives $750 donation from South Winneshiek volleyball team

The South Winn volleyball team has raised $750 in donations for the Winneshiek County Celebration of Life.

The team held a night for breast cancer awareness and prevention through mammogram screenings.  Money raised for WCCOL came from a silent auction, t-shirt sales and free will donations. 

When the evening was done, the South Winn Lady Warriors had raised $750 to donate to Winneshiek County Celebration of Life.

"It's amazing what these young women have accomplished," says WCCO board member Patty Casterton. "Their donation will help fund needed mammograms for under or uninsured women in the area. And we hope the young athletes and fans at the game will embrace the message we are trying to instill – that early detection is your best protection."
