DecorahBank & Trust has donated an additional $25,000 toward the Trout Run Trailproject, bringing its total contribution to $100,000.
The 12-mile recreational loop around Decorah enters its final construction phase next spring with the construction of a bridge over Highway9.
Decorah Bank's Joe Grimstad says, "The trail is an amenitythat will benefit our community in so many ways. Since there is ashortfall in funding for the final piece of the trail (the bridge over highway9), we want to help fill the gap."
Trails of Winneshiek member MikeHarman says, "Decorah Bank & Trust wasinstrumental in helping us get the fundraising started by donating the first$75,000 to the project. To have Decorah Bank come forth now and volunteeranother $25,000 certainly shows their desire to see this trail projectthrough from start to finish. We appreciate all that Decorah Bank &Trust has contributed to this great community project and look forward to thecompletion of the Trout Run Trail in the summer of 2012."
