Calmar woman honored for volunteer service to Winneshiek Medical Center

The Iowa Hospital Association has recognized Calmar resident Anna Mae Kuhn for her volunteer work at Winneshiek Medical Center.

Kuhn has been presented the "Shining Star of Your Hospital" award, which recognizes hospital volunteers who have shown dedication and initiative in their work at Iowa hospitals.
 
Kuhn has volunteered at Winneshiek Medical Center since the early 1980s.  She has a total of 3,500 documented volunteer hours, with most of that service at the information desk.

Kuhn has also given of her time and talents by sewing and quilting in support of Auxiliary projects and events, baking for annual sales, and assisting in wellness screenings held throughout the community. Kuhn is a member of the Auxiliary board, where she assists in the planning of the Auxiliary spring brunch, fall luncheon, and annual Iowa/Iowa State tailgate party.
