NEICAC Crisis Fund to benefit from weekend run

NEICAC's Crisis Fund and its food pantries in Decorah and Cresco wil benefit from a run this coming weekend in Cresco.

The 4th Annual Turkey River Turkey Trot will start at 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the Prairie's Edge Nature Center south of Cresco, following a four-mile course.  The F.I.T. Running Club is sponsoring the run.

For the 12 months ending with this September, NEICAC assisted over 6,000 low-income households with 14,920 individuals in Allamakee, Bremer, Chickasaw, Clayton, Fayette, Howard and Winneshiek counties.

The event also includes a fun walk and a Kids Turkey Dash Fun Run, plus donations of non-perishable food items for the food pantries will qualify you for additional chances to win one of the many door prizes.
