Winneshiek County Recycling to start new recycling services

Winneshiek County Recycling has begun accepting lawn mowers, power tools, and barbeque grills.

The items can be dropped off at the Winneshiek County Recycling Center located at 2510 172nd Avenue during the regular business hours of 6:00 a.m. tuntil 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

All fluids need to be drained from the gas engines before dropping them off. Grills and tools can be delivered in the condition they currently are in.

This special collection will go on through the end of November, and may be continued past that if all goes well.

This service is open to everyone, including people who are not Winneshiek County residents.
