Decorah resident Kelly Holthaus will be inducted into the NICC Calmar Alumni Hall of Fame MOnday in recognition of his career and community achievements.

Holthaus enrolled in NICC in 1992 and graduated in 1994 in Ag-Business Management.  He now works as a Monsanto territory sales manager.  In that role, Holthaus represents DeKalb and Monsanto in Winneshiek, Allamakee and Clayton counties.  His business responsibilities include management of accounts that generate $20 million in sales annually through 15 northeast Iowa dealers.  In 2010, Holthaus won the Master Sales Award, a Monsanto honor that placed his accomplishments in the top one percent of sales representatives internationally. Holthaus credits his business success to product performance, strong relationships with people, clients, the community and NICC.

Holthaus also volunteers his talents as a coach for Decorah parks and recreation programs, in membership on the NICC Ag Advisory Committee and as member and lector for St. Ben's Catholic Church in Decorah. In his spare time, he also officiates high school boys and girls basketball for teams throughout northeast Iowa. Kelly and his wife Kim have a son, a daughter and are expecting their third child in January.
