Two-car accident leads to $16,000 in damages

A two-car crash on Water Street at Mill Street on Wednesday caused $16,000 in damages.

Decorah Police say 50-year-old David Bellert of Minnetonka, Minnesota drove through a red light on Water Street and struck a car driven by 81-year-old Erlene Fisher of Decorah.

Neither driver was injured. Bellert was ticketed for failure to stop for a red light.
