A Monona man has appeared in court on charges stemming from Tuesday's lock down at NICC Calmar.
Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies, Iowa State Patrol officers and Calmar Police were called to the NICC Calmar campus around 11:00 A.M. Tuesday when 22-year-old Brian Pettit of Monona threatened to hit an NICC teacher.
Pettit was taken into custody on a simple misdemeanor harassment charge. He appeared before a magistrate on Wednesday and entered a guilty plea to the charge. Pettt was ordered to stay off the NICC Calmar campus in the future and to pay a $147 fine.
