Input asked from Winneshiek County residents on update to Comprehensive Plan

Winneshiek County residents have until Saturday, October 15th, to fill our a survey about issues involving the County Comprehensive Plan.

The Comprehensive Plan sets long-range policies about land use and resource management in Winneshiek County.  Input from county residents will herlp the County Zoning Commission to identify what the residents and visitors see as issues facing the county and what vision residents hold for how the County should operate over the next 20 years.

The survey is available at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Winneshiek_County_Comprehensive_Smart_Plan_Survey.  For more information about the comprehensive plan,  visit www.uerpc.org  Paper copies of the survey are available at the County Courthouse and at libraries and city halls in Winneshiek County.

The questionnaire is estimated to take about 15 minutes to complete.  Responses will then be tabulated and used as the committee puts together the County-Wide Comprehensive plan.
