Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies, Iowa State Patrol officers and Calmar Police were called to the NICC Calmar campus around 11:00 A.M. Tuesday because of a report of someone carrying a weapon.  The report touched off a lock down on the Calmar campus.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says 22-year-old Brian Pettit of Prairie Du Chien was taken into custody on a harassment charge following a brief search of his car by deputies and State Patrol officers.  Pettit was taken to the Winneshiek County Jail, where he was being held to await a hearing before a magistrate.

Police say that, despite the initial report, no weapons were involved in the incident.  NICC officials say no one was injured in the incident.
