The Decorah-based 322nd Engineering Company is now just about 90 days away from having replacement soldiers take over their duties.  The switchover will occur between Christmas and New Years.   After about 10 days of side by side training with the incoming unit there will be a Turnover of Authority ceremony and the 322nd will hand off the reins and begin its movement back to the states.

Meanwhile, the soldiers are about to wrap up four different projects.  Wrapping them up should allow the soldiers to come back together as a company for at least a couple of weeks before they get assigned to what should be their final round of projects.

Captain Troy King says, "We have been receiving a lot of mail from the our friends and family and that has been a big morale booster.  Each box or letter makes us feel like a young child sitting around the Christmas tree.  With that being said it is about time for the Soldiers to submit change of address cards and will ask that no more mail is sent to us after November 1st.  That time will be here before we know it."
