New Decorah City Manager begins his job

Chad Bird spent his first day on the job as Decorah City Manager on Monday.  Appropriately, he had four meetings on his first day of work.

Bird comes to Decorah from Adel, Iowa.  However, he and his wife are natives of Waverly.  Bird attended Valparaiso University for college, then worked in Indiana before returning to live in Iowa.

"We're looking forward to working with Chad," said Decorah Mayor Don Arendt.
