More chances to get your flu shot

The Winneshiek County Public Health Department has announced a schedule of additional flu clinics.

On Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. the Winneshiek County Public Health Department will be holding a flu clinic for ALL ages at the North Winneshiek Schools at 3495 North Winn Road.

On Wednesday, November 2nd from 2:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Public Health will hold another flu clinic at the Turkey Valley Schools at Jackson Junction on Highway 24.

Two types of vaccines will be available at both clinics--the "flu shot", an injection given with a needle and the nasal-spray flu vaccine (this must be given only to healthy 2-49 year old persons).   Flu shot will be given for $25 ($5 less than normal) and the flu mist will be $35 ($5 less than normal).  The special prices apply to these clinics only.  All Medicare eligible individuals need to bring all insurance cards with them.

The walk-in flu clinic remains available Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Winneshiek County Public Health for regular price ($30 for injection and $40 for mist)
