Over 300 Christmas cards are being sent to troops in Afghanistan

The Christmas card campaign launched by Northeast Iowa RSVP has collected over 300 cards to send to Iowa soliders on deployment in Afghanistan.

The cards were included in packages sent to Iowa soldiers including members of the 322nd Decorah Army Reserve Unit currently deployed in Afghanistan.

Julie Ehlers who is the coordinator for the Iowa Bravest campaign thanked Northeast Iowa for their cards saying that each Iowa soldier will get 5 or 6 Christmas cards in a package which will reach them in time for Christmas.
