Calmar farm chosen as "Prettiest Farm in Iowa"

The "Our Iowa" magazine is featuring a Calmar area farm this month as its "Prettiest Farm in Iowa."

The Hilltop Acres Farm, owned by Dennis and Barb Mashek of Calmar, is profiled in four pages of pictures and text in the magazine.  "Our Iowa" calls the farm "neat as a pin" and talks about the improvements the Masheks have made to the 175-cow operation.

It's the second time the magazine has profiled a Winneshiek County farm.  "Our Iowa" profiled the farm owned by Doug and Mary Log Egeland of Ossian in its June/July of 2010 edition, as decorahnews.com reported (http://www.decorahnews.com/archived-stories/2010/07/7295.html)
