Luther wind turbine is proceeding on schedule to go on line

Luther College officials say they expect to complete installation of the transmission line for its new wind turbine, as well as connecting with Alliant Energy by the end of the week.

Crew members from General Electric are expected to be in Decorah next week to test and commission the turbine.

College officials say everything is on track to begin commercial operation of the new wind turbine by November 1st.
