It's time again for the Youth Marketplace sale run by students at Decorah
Middle School.
Under the program middle school students form groups to create, market and manage their own businesses.
This session's young entrepreneurs have teamed up to launch five new
businesses that will sell many interesting products, including candy items, spa baskets, headbands, pillows and duct tape products. These will be on sale at the Decorah Middle School Commons on Sunday, October 2 from 5-6pm during the Youth Marketplace Sale Event.
In the program, students have learned about business development and the practical experience launching their own companies. They have written a business plan describing their business, developed their own unique products, and have been responsible for acquiring a loan and recordkeeping.
The Decorah Middle School is excited that the students have had the
opportunity to learn and apply skills to real life situations.
