Decorah business helps its customers to improve their health and fitness

Wednesday is National Women's Health & Fitness Day.  But for one Decorah business, every day is a day devoted to health and fitness--for women and men alike.

Rejuvenation Kettlebell and Nutrition Training occupies the top floor of the former Haugen garage building at 211 1/2 East Water Street.  Business owner Annette Schweinefus purchased the business in June from Mike and Sara Juve of Decorah.  She says she was ready for "new challenges" after having a desk job for 20 years.

Kettlebell workouts are 30 minute training session that include both strength and cardio workouts.  Schweinefus says she has students ranging in age from 12-year-olds to 70-plus, and they come in all sizes and all strengths.  The workouts, says Schweinefus, are always different "and never get boring."

Rejuvenation has five trainers--Kay Imoehl, Heidi Rockweiler, Jenna Rockweiler, Cheryl Lemke and Annette Schweinefus.  They lead a total of 16 classes each week--at 5:30 a.m., 6:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; at 5:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursday; and at 8:00 a.m. on the first and third Saturdays of the month.

In honor of National Women's Health Day,  Rejuvenation will hold an open house Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. to allow people to come and watch a kettlebells workout in action.  New members receive a 60 to 90 minute long instructional training session on the proper use of the kettlebells.  Schweinefus says her business is offering a special membership price for newcomers all the way through October 31st.
