RSVP collecting Christmas cards for Iowa soldiers

Posted: Thu, Sep 22, 2011 8:05 PM

Northeast Iowa RSVP is launching a campaign to collect Christmas cards for members of the 322nd Engineer Company based out of Decorah along with other soldiers from Iowa.

The cards can be purchased or homemade.  You can add a note, sign your name and even include your address in case the soldier would have time to write back to you.  Do not put the cards in an envelope as it just adds to the shipping costs.

Cards may be dropped off or mailed to the RSVP office at Decorah Public Library, 202 Winnebago Street before October 12th.  The cards will then be taken to Waterloo where they will be shipped to soldiers as part of the Iowa Bravest efforts.  If you have questions, contact Kathy Barloon or Lyle Otte at the RSVP office, 382-3717.
