There will be races for two of three Decorah City Council seats up this fall

This November's election for three seats on the Decorah City Council will feature two contested races.

Both 2nd Ward city councilperson Karen Tjossem and 4th Ward city councilperson Steve Matter have decided not to seek re-election this fall.  Incumbent at-large city councilperson Rachel Vagts will run for re-election.

The 2nd Ward will have a race between two newcomers--Josh Spilde and Julie Fisher.  Carolyn Corbin will bethe lone candidate on the ballot in the 4th Ward.  In the at-large race, Gary Finholt will challenge Vagts.
