Iowa Secretary of State visits Decorah to push for voter IDs with photos

Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schultz believes voter IDs in Iowa ought to include pictures.

Schultz visited Decorah Wednesday as part of a push for the Photo IDs.  He told decorahnews.com, "We want to make sure our elections are safe." Schultz says he locks his doors at night--so the State of Iowa should also take precautions.

Schultz says he will introduce new legislation into the next session of the Iowa Legislature which would require the photo IDs.  "Most Iowans want it," he said.  Schultz says the photo IDs would make sure that people are who they say they are when they come to polling places.
