New Minowa Players is looking for actors and actresses

The Decorah community theater group New Minowa Players is looking for actors and actresses for two upcoming productions.
 
Auditions for the January Family Production, "The BFG (Big Friendly Giant)", will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the NMP Theatre. The straight play (non-musical) is based on the award-winning book by Raold Dahl.  Rehearsals will be once a month in October and November, with more intensive rehearsals in December and January. Show dates are January 19th-22nd and 27th and 28th.  Actors high school age or older are welcome to audition.  For more information or to schedule an alternative audition time, contact Director Sheryl Scheffert at 563-379-5738.
 
New Minowa Players is also seeking performers for their annual Cabaret Fundraiser.  The theme for this year's show is "A New Day: Songs of Hopefulness and Longing."  Performers interested in participating should contact Sheryl Scheffert at 563-379-5738 before this Sunday.  Performers can audition for one solo or duet in the musical theatre genre, and also have the option of participating in four group numbers.  Performances will be November 18th and 19th at the New Minowa Players Theatre, 906 South Mill Street, Decorah.
