Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Tyler Beckley has joined the Gundersen Lutheran – Decorah Clinic.
Dr. Beckley specializes in caring for sports-related injuries, including injuries to knees, shoulders, hips and ankles. When treatment requires more extensive care, Dr. Beckley can perform surgical procedures in Decorah, allowing patients to remain close to home for their care.
"There has been a need for orthopedic services at the Gundersen Lutheran - Decorah Clinic for some time," commented Gundersen Lutheran – Decorah Clinic Manager Trudy Belay. "Before the arrival of Dr. Beckley, our patients with orthopedic-type injuries or conditions had to go elsewhere to receive specialized care. Now they can receive their care conveniently at the same place they receive the rest of their care."
A native of Tomahawk, Wisconsin, Dr. Beckley received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines. He completed his Osteopathic internship and Orthopaedic residency at St. John Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights, Michigan. Dr. Beckley recently completed his Orthopaedic Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin.
Besides seeing patients in Decorah, Dr. Beckley will also be seeing patients at the Gundersen Lutheran – West Union Clinic.
