The Luther College Jazz Orchestra has released its latest CD.
"Transformations: Celebrating Jazz at Luther," is a compilation of works celebrating the achievements and vibrancy of the Luther jazz program and the college's Sesquicentennial.
"Transformations" includes 15 pieces performed by the Luther Jazz Orchestra directed by Juan Tony Guzman, with tracks featuring the Luther Jazz Quintet directed by Tom Bourcier, and the Vocal Jazz Ensemble, directed by 2010 Luther graduate Josef Olynyk.

The CD has won praise from several professional Latin jazz artists with whom Guzman has shared the new album. Among those who have lauded the CD is internationally acclaimed jazz clarinetist, sax player, composer and arranger "Proveta" (Nailor Azevedo), leader and artistic director of Banda Mantiqueira, Brazil's award-winning and Grammy nominated Latin jazz ensemble.
