Tennis courts nearly finished

The long awaited tennis court project is at very near completion, with some lines being painted today and some netting expected in the very near future. The courts will also provide play space for John Cline Elementary students when completed.

On a related note, on Monday night the Decorah Community School Board approved a 28E agreement that specifies the shared cost and shared maintenance costs between the school district and the city. The district will pay the initial cost of nearly $364,000, with the City of Decorah reimbursing half that amount over the next four years. The City and the district will also equally share maintenance costs.

The company doing the final surfacing indicates that the pre-surface paving that was done b River City Paving is one of the best they have ever worked on.
