Scores on the ACT test, commonly used for college admission and scholarships, continue to rise at Decorah High School. Superintendent Mike Haluska reports that the latest average score is 24, a score that has continued to rise since 2007 when the average was 22.8.
Haluska says that hitting the 24 mark really puts Decorah at an "elite category" within the state. Haluska says that 24.5 is probably the highest he has seen in the state, and that the high scores are typically obtained by large city suburban schools.
