Winneshiek County supervisors Monday morning signed a declaration making October Winneshiek County Celebration of Life Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The designation recognizes the efforts of WCCOL to raise funds for free mammograms to area women.  Some 100 free mammograms will have been provided in the last two years due to the efforts of volunteers and the cooperation of Winneshiek Medical Center and Gundersen Clinic-Decorah.

WCCOL is holding a fundraiser on Monday, October 10th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Decorah
