Decorah High School has won a national award

Decorah High School has been named as one of the 2011 National Blue Ribbon Schools. 

The U.S. Department of Education has selected 305 schools across the country, including Decorah High School, as schools with overall academic excellence.  The Blue Ribbon Schools Program is part of a larger Department of Education effort to identify and disseminate knowledge about best school leadership and teaching practices.

Decorah High School is one of just seven schools in Iowa to receive the National Blue Ribbon Schools award.  The National Blue Ribbon Schools will be honored at a conference and awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., November 14th and 15th.
