Ask Mr. Bald Eagle: "Can we get a new name for D1?"

Jim writes Mr. Bald Eagle: "Can we get a new name for the eagle chick?  "D1" just isn't appropriate somehow for such an impressive creature.  I think you should initiate a naming contest."

Mr. Bald Eagle talked with Raptor Resource Project Director Bob Anderson, who said the group intentionally picked the name "D1" to break from the anthropomorphic names that people were using out on the web.  This has saved us from talking about "Uncle Sam" or "Liberty," so we owe our thanks to RRP for this decision!
