Progress is being made on several county road projects

County Engineer Lee Bjerke says progress is being made on a number of road projects.

Bjerke says work on Ranch Road should wrap up this week.  He says the new road "looks pretty good."  Work continues on Pole Line Road, says Bjerke, while work in underway on the new Bluffton Bridge, where two support towers have been installed.

There's just one road project Bjerke would like to speed up--the construction of a culvert on a road south of Fort Atkinson.  Bjerke says the project will take just one week, but he'd like it to happen soon, even though he says there is "plenty of good weather left."
