Propane costs going up for Winneshiek County

It will cost more for Winneshiek County to use propane this winter.  County officials have accepted a bid of $1.73 per gallon from Agvantage of Decorah.  Their previous cost last year was $1.26 per gallon.

However, the county received bids from three companies--and all were in the same range as the lowest bid.

The propane is used by the county at seven county-owned sites around the county.
