Art exhibit by Luther graduate opens Thursday

An art exhibit by 1976 Luther College graduate Randy Carlson will open Thursday in Preus Library on the Luther campus.

The theme of the ceramics exhibit draws on the Luther College Sesquicentennial theme "Transformed by the Journey."

Carlson holds the bachelor of arts degree from Luther, the master's degree from the University of Iowa and the master of fine arts degree from Bradley University.

In 1993, he started teaching ceramics and foundation classes at Bradley University, and 18 years later he is teaching all levels of ceramics.  He also serves as the art department's graduate coordinator and has recently restructured the graduate program.
