NICC offers social dancing classes

Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC)is offering social dancing classes for beginners and for those who want to advance their current dancing skills.
 
In the beginner class, "Social Dancing: Dancing Towards Stardom,"
participants will learn the basic dance steps of the waltz and foxtrot,
along with an introduction to Latin dances, the cha cha and the rumba. This class meets on Mondays, Sept.12-Oct. 10, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wings Park Elementary School in Oelwein.  
 
The intermediate class, "Social Dancing: Dancing Towards
Stardom-Intermediate," allows participants to build on current beginning
dancing skills. Participants will learn four intermediate steps in both the
waltz and foxtrot, in addition to the introduction of the two-step.
This class meets on Mondays, Oct. 17-Nov. 7, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wings Park Elementary School.
 
Jill Duckett, will teach both classes. The first 15 minutes of each class is
a review and practice. Participants for both classes should come as twosomes and each will need to register separately. Attendees should wear leather-soled shoes and comfortable clothing.
