The Iowa Workforce Development Office and the Decorah Public Library have partnered to give job seekers another way to get leads on new jobs.
Two dedicated computers have been installed in the library that have connections to the Workforce Development's information about job openings in Iowa. The computers are available at all times the library is open. The computers have a "Virtual Assistant Portal" that makes it easier for people to find the information--especially those who are less computer-savvy.
Library Director Lorraine Borowski says having the two computers in the library is a way to reach people who can't visit the Workforce Development Office in Decorah during its normal office hours--or people who would rather conduct their job search at the library instead of at the IWD office.
