Ben Steines, Winneshiek County Auditor, has announced the following information regarding upcoming school elections. Ballots are now in for the upcoming school election.  Voters can cast their absentee ballot between now and Monday September 12, 2011.  Our office hours are 8-4 M-F.

A reminder to voters of the following election day polling changes:

Decorah School District voters will vote at the Winneshiek County Courthouse.  The normal polling place would be the High School, but due to construction at the building, access and parking would be limited, thus the change to the Courthouse.

South Winneshiek District voters will vote at the Calmar Lutheran Church.  In the past the school has had multiple polling locations, but in an effort to save money, district administrators have decided to use just one location like the other districts in the area.

North Winneshiek District voters will vote at the North Winn School (no changes).

Polls will be open from Noon – 8:00pm on election day.  Voters are welcome to contact  auditor@co.winneshiek.ia.us or (563) 382-5085 if they have any questions.
