Hundreds of Decorah residents get to hear President Obama speak

The crowd of 500 people who got to listen to President Barack Obama speak at Seed Savers included numerous Decorah residents, of course.

Decorah resident Kate Rattenborg said following the speech, "I was impressed--he addressed many of my key concerns, especially health care costs for small business owners."

Winneshiek County Democratic Party chair Dick Jansen said Obama provided "a clear narrative at the end of his speech of what is happening in the country."  Jansen urged the president to keep articulating that narrative.

Finally, Decorah resident Karen Van Der Maaten pointed out that having the President visit a small town like Decorah meant "It was an honor just to have the president here>"
