Humane Society will begin selling t-shirts Tuesday as animal shelter fundraiser

The Humane Society of Northeast Iowa on Tuesday will begin selling specialty t-shirts as a way to raise money for construction of an animal shelter.

The t-shirts were created by the Gallery of Tops and sell for $30 apiece, with all proceeds going to HSNEI.  The t-shirts are on sale at Blue Heron Knittery at 300 West Water Street and at Critters and Such Pet Care, 2339 172nd Avenue.

The t-shirts come in sizes small to 2XL.  Women's t-shirts are in azalea (pink) and pistachio (green), while men's t-shirts are in sand (tan) and stone blue.

The t-shirts have block prints of a cat or a dog, along with original poetry from Bonnie Koloc of Decorah (Koloc also did the drawings).
