Viking State Bank makes contribution to Vesterheim classes

Viking State Bank & Trust of Decorah has made a contribution in support of folk-art classes at Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum.

Since 1967, Vesterheim has offered classes in Norwegian folk arts, including rosemaling, woodworking, fiber arts, knifemaking, and cooking. "This program is vital for promoting folk artists and serves to ensure that these beautiful age-old traditions and skills are preserved," Vesterheim Executive Director Steve Johnson said.

"This support from Viking State Bank & Trust helps us keep these classes affordable and accessible to everyone," Johnson added.
