The Raptor Resource Project has announced it has turned back on the Decorah eaglecam.
A posting on the group's Facebook page said, "We are not sure how long it will remain on, as there is not a lot to currently view."
However, bald eagle fans lobbied Ustream, the provider of the bald eagle channel, and Ustream worked with the Raptor Resource Project (RRP) to relaunch the channel.
The Decorah Bald Eagles became the most-viewed channel ever on Ustream this summer. The channel has surpassed 200 million views since it signed on.
Meanwhile, the Decorah Bald Eagle website now includes a map that displays the travels of one of the eagles (which has been nicknamed "D1"). Thhe eaglet chick has been fitted with a tracking device so that both the RRP and viewers can follow the bird. Visit the map at http://www.raptorresource.org/maps/decorah_eaglemap_1.php
