New Farm and Ag Business Management Specialist has been hired to serve Winneshiek County

The ISU Extension Program has hired Kristen Schulte as its Farm and Ag Business Management Specialist for Winneshiek County and nine other counties in Northeast Iowa.

Schulte will specialize in dairy economic, financial statements and analysis for farmers and agriculture business owners in Allamakee, Chickasaw, Clayton, Delaware, Dubuque, Fayette, Floyd, Howard, Mitchell, and Winneshiek counties.  

She is a graduate of Kansas State University where she received her Master's Degree in Agricultural Economics and Bachelors Degree in Agribusiness.  During her graduate studies she worked on projects relating to dairy profitability and benchmarking. She is formerly from northwest Ohio, where she grew up on a dairy farm.

Farm and Ag Business Management Specialists offer a variety of educational programs including those related to land leasing, land valuation, financial analysis, government programs and risk management.
