Sheriff's deputies investigating theft of musical instruments

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says it is investigating the theft of some musical instruments on Sunday.

The instruments were taken from a home at 3824 Highway 139 in Fremont Township.  Stolen items include a 1964 maroon Gibson Melody Maker electric gutiar; a teal green Fender Strato-caster electric guitar; and an acoustic bazookie (a large mandolin-type string instrument).

Sheriff's deputies say two young males were seen running away from the area carrying the bazookie and the guitars.
