Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) is offering a Smart Start course that discusses the proper progression for opening a business, focuses on the feasibility of the venture, and teaches how to write a business plan – the best tool for evaluating a business idea.
J. Steven Horman of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will teach the four-hour Smart Start course. He is a professional business consultant, specializing in long range strategic planning for business, government and non-profit organizations.
A Smart Start class will be offered Tuesday, August 30th, at NICC Calmar and Monday, September 12th at the NICC Waukon Center. Both classes will meet from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
