Decorah Police: "Nothing has changed"

Decorah Police Chief Bill Nixon says his department won't have any additional comment to make about the death of Luther College student Nabby Baffour-Awuah beyond what they said in February.

Decorah police announced in February that Baffour-Awuah died of hypothermia in freezing temperatures after he was locked out of his dormitory following a night of drinking at an off-campus party.

On Wednesday his family issued a statement calling the ruling "an insult to the known facts, the memory of Nabby, and to this family."  They said they believe his death was not an accident.

Nixon says there have been no new developments in the case since the investigation that ruled Baffour-Awuah's death was due to hypothermia.  He says all of the law enforcement agencies investigating the death came to the same conclusion.
