Two Winneshiek County residents earn statewide DARE awards

North Winneshiek 5th grade teacher Carol Sand, Iowa DARE Officers Association Educator of the year.

Two Winneshiek county residents are being recognized by the statewide DARE drug prevention program.

Turkey Valley sixth grader John Gossling has won the DARE statewide essay contest.  North Winneshiek fifth grade teacher Carol Sand has been recognized as the Iowa DARE teacher of the year.  Both people were recognized at the Iowa DARE officer's training conference held at Luther College this week.
