Nordic Fest attendance "slightly less" than last year

Nordic Fest Board president Cindy Schissel says attendance at this year's fest was slightly less than last year, but she says those who did attend Nordic Fest were "an active crowd."

Schissel says food booth sales did well, although there was some leftover lefse that the Nordic Fest is now selling at either $10 for one package or $15 for two packages.  Contact Schissel at 380-2040 to buy the lefse.

She says one aspect of Nordic Fest that board members were worried about, but seems to have done very well, was the move of some events from the John Cline School area to the Decorah Middle School area.  Attendance at the rock toss on Saturday was very good.

Finally, Schissel says the Nordic Fest Board would like to thank all the volunteers and local businesses for their contributions to Nordic Fest.  She says the fest wouldn't be possible without the contributions of a lot of people.
