The Winneshiek County Convention & Visitors Bureau is asking for volunteers to help staff its booth during the 11 days of the Iowa State Fair, taking place August 11th to 21st.
As an incentive package, volunteers will receive free tickets into the fair plus one night's free lodging.
"Our booth will be located in the Varied Industries Building, which attracts more than 500,000 fairgoers each year," said CVB Director Brenda Balk. "The fair is just one of the many ways the CVB entices new visitors to come to our area."
Volunteers must be familiar with Winneshiek County and have general knowledge of local businesses and attractions. Each shift requires two people; volunteers typically work with a spouse, friend, family member, or co-worker.
Available shifts include:
Saturday, August 13th from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
