New GPS transmitter on bald eagle chick is working well

The GPS transmitter that volunteers strapped to one of the three Decorah bald eagle chicks is apparently working very well.

Raptor Resource Project Director Bob Anderson says "Being able to follow her with the GPS transmitter is going to provide a great deal of interesting data."  A map has been created to show the movements of the Decorah eaglet called "D1."   Soon she will be expanding her movements and by next month leaving the nest site.
