Toni Smith resigns at Executive Director of The Spectrum Network

The Executive Director of The Spectrum Network, Toni Smith, has announced her retirement from the position at the end of 2011.

The Spectrum Network's Board of Directors has accepted her resignation "with reluctance."

During her tenure Spectrum remodeled of the Washington Street building, involved clients, staff and parents in an innovative writing project which produced the book  "From My Perspective: Essays About Disability," organized a standing-room-only Autism Workshop, continued to build relationships with various businesses to create enclave opportunities for clients while ensuring that the work Spectrum was doing was of the highest quality.

A search committee comprised of Spectrum board president Cathryn Baldner, Vice President Julie Huiskamp and Secretary Britt Rhodes will lead the search for a new Executive Director.
