New rate schedule announced at NICC Child Development Center

The Northeast Iowa Community College Calmar Child Development Center at the Calmar campus is announcing a new rate structure for area families and their children.

Families will be eligible for discounts under the new structure, which is designed to be more family-friendly.  For a family with two children at the center, the older of the two children will receive a 10 percent discount.  For a family with three children at the center, the oldest will receive a 40 percent discount and the next oldest will receive a 10 percent discount.  For a family with more than three children at the center, the discounts mentioned above that are applicable for three children apply and each older child receives a 40 percent discount.

The NICC Child Development Center will implement the discounts on August 15th.  Rates vary according to children who are infants, toddlers, preschool and school age, and are structured based on two, three, four and five half-day and full-day enrollments at the center. A full-day schedule is 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and a half-day schedule is between 6:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and between 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
