Sculpture installed in Water Street Park

Cedar Falls artist Victoria Reed didn't let the hot weather bother her on Monday afternoon, installing her sculpture of two stainless steel deers in the new Water Street Park.

Reed's sculpture is park of the plans for the new "pocket park," which will also include a gazebo, several tables and several benches.  A decorative wall and six new trees have already been installed.

Reed is a University of Northern Iowa sculpture program graduate.  Her work has been featured at museums in Waterloo and in Dubuque.  The deer statues are her first public art installation.
